Chianti on September

August has gone and in Chianti region it’s already harvest time!
We have prepared everything for this moment during the year: we worked hard in the vineyard, on the grapevine and at last the harvest moment is coming.

We will start with white varieties, first of the vineyard ready to harvested from the end of August, depeding on the weather conditions and of the years.
But it’s on September that we can find a lot of festival linked to harvest time and to the Chianti wine.

Because harvest is a celebration, a new beginning, a moment to discover our community.

So in Impruneta, at the gates of Florence, from September 3rd you can enjoy the Festa dell’Uva (Grape Festival), this year at its 90th anniversary.
This is one of the most traditional festival of this period, with its parade along the road and the challanges between the quartiers of the village.
These kind of parades remember the ancient parade of Farmers’ festivals you could find in the past in the countryside all around Florence and this festival in Impruneta is something you cannot miss!

From September 8th in Greve in Chianti you will find the Chianti Classico Expo, where discovering Chianti Classico wines will be really easy and amazing.
You will learn more about wine with guided tours and tastings together with public conference about the Chianti Classico.

And after this wonderful celebration of Chianti Classico, you can continue learning more and more with Vino al Vino in Panzano in Chianti, with precious wines and hidden farms of Chianti territory.

September is the best month if you are a wine amateur or only curious to understand the link between peopleland and local products.
