February is the new wines month

Every year on February wine producers from the best micro-area of Tuscany presents their new vintages to the public inside events called Anteprima.
Every denomination (DOCG or DOC) of Tuscany has its own event, but they are all in these weeks of February, because it's the month where wines from the last harvest are starting to be ready.

The first event this year is Buy Wine, the largest commercial wine event of Tuscany. Here all Tuscan producers can come and show their productions. This year the event will take place on February 8 and 9 at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence.

On February 10 at Fortezza da Basso there is Chianti Lovers: the tasting event of Consorzio del Chianti. A day of tastings and a good choice if you want to learn more about the region of the most famous wine in the world.

February 10 and 13 are really important days for Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG producers: the most ancient and important white wine of Tuscany, that could be produced in San Gimignano city only. The Modern Art Museum in the city centre hosts the event where you can discover Vernaccia and try new vitnages talking with producers.

February 11 and 12 you have to go to Leopolda Station in Florence: Chianti CLassico Collection is the event for Chianti Classico producers, where the black rooster rules!

And we can finish our suggestions with the most precious of Tuscan wine: Brunello di Montalcino. Its event for the new vintages will take place in Montalcino city from February 15 to 18.

So take a glass and run to these events! If you're a wine lover the best month to visit Tuscany is FEBRUARY!
