Florence’s gardens

Florence is not only one of the worldwide most important cities of art, but it also has a green heart with its magnificent and extraordinary historical gardens, where losing yourself during a promenade, forgetting the noisy traffic of the city.

The most famous garden is the Garden of Boboli, one of the main monuments of Florence.
Walking through its small streets, with benches to enjoy a break watching natural beauties, you can relax yourself, painting panoramas and enjoying the fresh aromas of spring flowers.
Few steps away from Boboli you will find Bardini’s Garden: with the same ticket you can visit both of them!
These two gardens have the most breath-taking view of Florence from a calm and quiet terrace and we are sure you will feel relaxed there.

But there are other gardens, hidden in the centre streets: for example, Torrigiani’s Garden, a wonderful private garden where you need to book directly with the owners to have a special guided tour of it.
There also is the Garden Semplici in the city centre, directed by Florence University and open to the public.

If you’re near Piazzale Michelangelo, watching Florence from one of the most wonderful panoramic place don’t forget a visit to Roses Garden, where you can enjoy, especially in May, beautiful roses blooming with their intense flavours.
In the same area you can also find the Iris Garden, that’s opening this year after 2 years of break.

May is for sure the best period to visit tese gardens that are waking up now with the first hot days of Springtime.
